Christopher Bowman is William Bonney, who fights off a gang of bounty hunters with fellow gunfighter John Mackie.
But the experience leaves him wanting to slip into anonimity, so he heads north into the mountains to do just that.
Spring comes and his spirits lift, so he decides to take one last ride back home.
He’s reunited with a father (Cody McCarver as Leon Copper) he thought was dead.
And together they head to Lincoln County for a showdown with Brigham Landon, a man out for their hides as well because one of them killed his nephew.
They’re riding smack dab into a hornet’s nest. Landon is trying to control everything in Lincoln and is upset that a rancher named Tunstall has opened a store where he sells goods for a cheaper price.
He has Tunstall killed, setting the stage for a showdown in Lincoln between two gangs of gunmen.
The poorly choreographed opening gunfight sends a clear warning that viewers are about to embark on a bumpy ride down a low-budget Western trail.
On that count, the rest of the film doesn’t disappoint. The script jumps all over the place with no rhyme or reasons. Characters appear and disappear with no logical reason for being part of the film.
Speaking of disappearing, director Christopher Forbes plays a Bible-toting character who calls himself Preacher and comes and goes like a ghost.
Following the big gunfight, he also runs around visiting the dead and — I kid you not — stuffing pages from his Bible into their mouths, then shouting toward Heaven.
Until one victim turns out not to be dead and scares him off.
As he treats the wounded, the town doctor mutters: “What a waste.”
If you pay a penny to watch this crap, guaranteed you’ll find yourself muttering the same thing.

Landon, sitting across a table from him, doesn’t bat an eye..
Watson Smith as his men gun down Tunstall: “I’ve killed a lot of men in my times. I’ve seen ’em beg. I’ve seen ’em cry. I’ve seen ’em pray. I ain’t never seen one sing.”
