The oft-told James Fenimore Cooper tale about the fate of the Munro sisters during the French and Indian War as they attempt to rejoin their father in a British fort under attack by the French.
Barbara Bedford plays Cora, who in this telling falls for the Mohican Indian guide Uncas (Alan Roscoe).
Wallace Beery has the role of the dastardly Magua. Fans of the 1992 film version might be surprised by the very different fates of the lead characters in this version.
Nice looking film and great locations for the 1920s. The massacre of the British troops and civilians after their surrender is more gruesome than one might expect in such an old film.
The double directors occurred because Tourneuer suffered an injury early during the filming and Brown had to take over and finish the film.
