Jesse Kove is Silas Johnson, a cowboy in a small town out West who’s smitten with a pretty blonde saloon girl named Rose.
But Silas has trouble standing up for himself, even when called a coward. He backs down from a gunfight in front of Rose (Tommi Rose) and heads home, embarrassed.
Then a stranger (Terry Kiser) shows up at his door, offering him a chance for guaranteed respect and fame. Offering him the chance to become the fastest gunfighter alive.
The price in return: Silas’s soul.
Silas agrees to the bargain, heads back to the saloon, guns down his adversary and eventually proposes to Rose.
They’ll head off for a fresh start somewhere else, he says. And he’ll put down his gun forever.
Problem is, his bargain with the devil didn’t include protection for the people Silas loves. And now another renown gunslinger is headed to his town for a once-in-a-century style showdown.

Terry Kiser as the Stranger who makes dreams come true in exchange for souls in A Gunfighter’s Deal (2025)
This film is a whole lot better than you’d expect given the oft-used premise and the bargain basement set, which looks like a cheap tourist town somewhere. You can even see more modern buildings in the background in some shots.
Credit the film’s success to a solid script, a fine lead performance by Jesse Kove and a delightful one from Terry Kiser, who clearly relished his role as the devil in disguise.
Kevin Sorbo, TV’s former Hercules and veteran of a handful of Westerns, plays Wesley Harper, the gunfighter eager for a showdown with Silas Johnson.
The film is a family affair for the Koves. Jesse’s dad plays the preacher he turns to in order to win back his soul. Sister Rachel plays a townswoman critical of his gun-fighting ways.
More impressively, she sings a song called “Raising Hell,” one of two featured in the film. The film’s other is performed by Tommi Rose, the actress who plays the saloon girl Jesse’s character falls for.
