Stephen Dorff is Thomas Keller, a man on the run after being accused of killing a member of the Rockefeller family in New York in 1903.
His destination is the town of Redemption in Kentucky. It’s a town filled with reformed outlaws looking for a second chance after repenting their sins.
But in Thomas’s case, trouble and love follows him to redemption.
Trouble comes in the form of his brother Robert, left horribly scarred by the same incident back in New York.
He’s trailing Thomas in order to save his own skin and to collect the $100,000 bounty the Rockefeller facing has placed on his brother’s head.
Love arrives in the form of Val (Heather Graham), who arrives in Redemption with her young daughter Grace. She’s married to Robert; it’s clear Thomas is the Keller brother she prefers.
Robert demands that the bad-turned-good folks in Redemption turn over Thomas. Or else pay the price. After all, he wouldn’t mind collecting bounties on all these former outlaws.
Instead, the residents of Redemption — led by Jericho (Costas Mandyler) and Doc (Randall Batinkoff) rally behind Thomas, turning their town into a desperate battlefield.
If you like your Westerns with non-stop action and a high body count, this is the film for you.
Director Brian Skiba delivers a dramatic opening. The seige on Redemption begins at the 42-minute mark. The blood-letting doesn’t end until the credits roll.
If you prefer your Westerns with a clever plot full of unexpected twists and turns … well, you’re more likely to be disappointed in spite of the presence of big-name cast members like Heather Graham and Nicholas Cage.
And the only big twist comes near the end of the film and isn’t likely to surprise many viewers.
As for Cage, his bizarre character is more annoying than anything else. He’s constantly fidgeting with the cross around his neck. He’s constantly reading The Bible.
He’s reluctant to even touch a gun. But, of course, given his presence in Redemption, he’s a former gunman. And eventually can’t resist strapping on his six-shooters one more time.
And, yes, Scarlet Rose Stallone is the daughter of Sylvester Stallone. She was 22 when this film was released and has a sizeable role as Jericho’s daughter in the town of Redemption.
This film follows “Dead Man’s Hand” (2023) and “Guns of Redemption” (2025) as the third Western from Skiba.

Jericho to Robert Keller, who’s from New York: “This here’s Kentucky. My town. My rules.”
Valerie of Thomas Keller: “That man doesn’t know how to run from anything.”
